Overview

Instead of reaching out to everyone at a company, this template implements a stack-ranked approach to people targeting. It searches for people across different seniority levels (C-Suite, VP, Director, Head, Manager), assigns scores based on their position, then identifies the top 3 highest-scoring people at each company. This ensures you're always targeting the most senior and relevant decision-makers first, while optimizing your credit usage by only running expensive operations on high-priority prospects.

How it works

  1. 1
Search for people by job titles across different seniority levels at target companies
  2. 2
Use Clay's "Score Row" function to assign points based on job title keywords (C-Suite: 100, VP: 80, etc.)
  3. 3
Apply "Lookup Multiple Rows" to group people by company domain
  4. 4
Create formula to identify and rank the top 3 people at each individual company
  5. 5
Add run conditions to expensive operations (like email finding) so they only run on top 3 people
  6. 6
Sort results to see your prioritized prospect list with highest-value contacts first
  7. 7
Segment outreach strategies based on seniority levels for targeted messaging
